Track your progress with this impactful training method.
By Team Peloton•
If you didn’t know, you can get all the information you need to crush a Peloton Power Zone class right on your Bike or Bike+ touchscreen. As fans of Power Zone training know, this method is a great way to contextualize your output and watch yourself progress over time. Here’s how to get started.
How to Set Up Peloton Power Zones on Your Bike or Bike+
Whether you’re a beginner or advanced rider, Power Zones are a simple way to track your progress. They’re based on your personal Functional Threshold Power (FTP), or the highest output you can maintain for 20 minutes. You’ll easily be able to check if you’re taking your time, pushing yourself, or in an all-out spring as you ride.

Ready to learn more about Power Zone training? Read about everything from the benefits to why Members love the classes, then follow these simple instructions to get started:
To determine your personal FTP, take one of our FTP Test classes. There’s also the option to use your weight and gender to automatically calculate your FTP, or you can use your output stats from any 20-minute rides you’ve taken before. However, the FTP Test will give you the most accurate results.
Once you have your FTP, from the Bike home screen, select your Leaderboard name in the bottom left corner to access settings.
Select the gear icon, then scroll down to preferences.
You’ll have the option to display your Power Zones in all classes or just Power Zone rides.
Select ‘Calculate Custom Value’ and enter the number from your FTP test.
Pick a Power Zone class to start with, or try a program like Discover Your Power Zones or Build Your Power Zones.
