Peloton Launches Repowered, a Nationwide Marketplace for its Connected Fitness Equipment

At Peloton, we are committed to empowering our Members with choice, which extends to current and future Members. That’s why we launched Peloton Repowered, a marketplace designed for our Members to sell and easily upgrade their Peloton equipment with confidence.
Repowered enables Members nationwide to list and sell their used Peloton equipment and accessories seamlessly through an online marketplace powered by Archive, making the buying and selling process as convenient and trustworthy as possible for both parties. Repowered was previously available in beta, beginning in June, in Boston, New York, and the D.C. metro area. Since then, more than 400 equipment listings have been created.
As part of the seller experience, we offer suggested pricing guidance based on market trends and the condition of the equipment, while allowing the Member to choose the final listing price. Members who sell their equipment not only earn cash back but also receive a discount on their next Peloton equipment purchase.
On the purchasing side, buyers receive a discount on Peloton’s activation fee for used equipment and will, in the future, have the option to add a seamless delivery service. Equipment listings will also include Peloton’s History Summary, which provides details such as usage, service history, and warranty information. Importantly, a buyer protection policy protects all purchases made on the marketplace, ensuring a secure and worry-free buying experience.
Repowered is ideal for cost-conscious customers interested in Peloton’s premium equipment, intuitive software, and engaging fitness content, all with a supportive community. Now, buyers can more easily find quality, second-hand Peloton equipment for sale within their local communities. This initiative not only makes premium Peloton equipment more accessible but also aligns with Peloton's ongoing efforts to promote a more circular economy for our products and reduce environmental impact, providing a way for our community to join us in contributing to a sustainable future.
“We aim to create a trusted marketplace for our Members to buy and sell pre-owned Peloton equipment, ensuring quality-checked products,” said Nick Caldwell, Chief Product Officer. “This initiative provides a valuable service to our community, offering an accessible entry point for new Members, a convenient way for existing Members to upgrade or sell their equipment, and an opportunity for our equipment to be given a second life.”
The Repowered marketplace is now live for sellers across the U.S., and the purchasing option will open in August.
